Wagon Pioneers

Through hot barren lands
They inched with a goal in mind
Those tough covered wagon pioneers
Of a rugged American history time.
Voices of the young and old
Could be heard on the wagon train
The dreams on all their minds
Amazingly, were much the same.
Those times dangers appeared
A circle the covered wagons made
The pioneer took their protective posts
While dangers lurked, there they stayed.
Pioneers journeying West had dreams
To find a good place to build a home
Even today our dreams are the same
Love for our families will never be gone.
