Winter Is Here

The Trees are covered with icicles hanging everywhere,
The nights are cold and the days are short.
The fireplace stacked with wood to burn,
As I sit here watching the snow fall
I think of all the days gone by.

My childhood days flash before my eyes
Ice-skating on the pond, sliding in the park
and playing in the snow throwing snowballs
and building a snowman
I bet they play at night...

Taking rides to Grandma's house
Oh the country what a beautiful site
The winter is beautiful you know.
Jack Frost is in the air. he is sticking everywhere
With Holidays and families all a glow...

Lights shine on the trees all colors you see
and decorations all over town...
Church bells are ringing and children are singing
For Christmas is all around...

Then before you know it winter is gone...
So don't forget you can reminisce like me
when you get older...
Winter is here!!
